Josiah was pretty awesome. He did all the right things. However, his workers found Moses' book and read it, thereby reminding God to smite everyone. Then, in the same breath, God is like, "Well, I guess I'll forgive your dumb asses and let you live. But your kids are definitely gonna feel my wrath! Okay bye now!"
